What was set to be another legendary four-day celebration of music, culture, and community at the Farm in Manchester, Tennessee, was cut dramatically short due to extreme weather conditions. Following a vibrant kickoff on Thursday, the remainder of the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival was canceled after the National Weather Service predicted steady, hazardous rain and thunderstorms that would make for treacherous camping and exit conditions.

Still, even one day on the Farm can be magical. The opening day brought together a unique mix of rising stars and powerhouse headliners, creating a one-of-a-kind experience that now stands as the sole chapter of Bonnaroo 2025. Fans were treated to the indie stylings of Atlanta-based emo-folk duo Hey, Nothing and the dreamy sounds of socially conscious shoegazers Wisp, while Marcus King and his band delivered a soulful, fiery performance that had the crowd swaying. Aussie-based newcomer Sofia Isella and Long Island band the Lemon Twigs brought vibrant energy to their afternoon sets.

Headlining the evening with his signature blend of heart and grit, country superstar Luke Combs surprised the crowd by bringing out Miranda Lambert and Jon Bellion for a couple of duets that sent boots stomping throughout the crowd. Even in its abbreviated state, the festival served up joy, discovery, and electric performances, proof that even one day at Roo is enough to give fans a reason to want to come back next year.
